1976
Paladin Security is Born
Hugh Cooper's vision took shape with first contract at Fibreco Export. Ashley Cooper, then a high school student, stepped in — the seed of the Paladin Family was planted.
1988
Ashley Cooper Purchases Paladin
Ashley bought Paladin after his commerce degree, determined to transform it. First hospital contract at Riverview Hospital secured.
1991
Paladin Security Systems Launched
Ashley crafted the mission statement that still guides us. Brother Fraser joined, launching Paladin Security Systems.
1994
First Operations Centre Established
North Vancouver operations centre launched. First campus contract at BCIT opened new verticals.
1998
Expansion to Edmonton & Calgary
Acquired Northern Protection, entered Calgary market — first major leap outside Vancouver.
2001
Vancouver Coastal Health Contract
After 9/11, Paladin expanded healthcare portfolio, securing a landmark contract with Vancouver Coastal Health.
2006
Further Expansion Throughout Alberta
First oil sands project with Albian Sands opened Fort McMurray — proving ability for complex remote operations.
2008
Expansion to Toronto & Kingston
Acquired Carecor, extending to Ontario. Received IAHSS Award of Distinction.
2010
Paladin Takes Off
Largest contract with Alberta Health Services. Acquisitions in Manitoba and Windsor. New logo & fleet design.
2011
National Presence, Local Expertise
Crossed into Atlantic Canada, secured Nova Scotia Health contract. New offices in Grande Prairie & Nanaimo.
2012
Increased Recognition
Deloitte Best Managed Companies award. Ashley Cooper named EY Pacific Entrepreneur of the Year. 6,000 employees.

Paladin Risk Solutions Launched
New division for intelligence, investigations, advanced risk monitoring. Achieved Platinum Best Managed status.
